You can take a tour of the 16th-century, antique-furnished rooms at Holyrood Palace, official Scottish residence of the Queen, just a 20-minute bus ride from the hotel. The high street shops of the modern Gyle Shopping Centre are 10 minutes away by bus, from the stop just outside the hotel. Haymarket train station, also a short bus ride away, is served by trains across Scotland.
