Stellenbosch is one of the main wine growing regions in South Africa, with over 200 wine producers/vineyards here. From here you can do a variety of tasting experiences while also visiting the beautiful neighbouring areas of Paarl and Franschhoek. There is a lovely pace to this town, home to the Stellenbosch University, very relaxed, away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, but only a short trip away. There is a very strong Dutch connection to the region and this is quiet evident in the buildings around the town. The town is very vibrant with some lovely bars and restaurants for you to work your way through once you return from your day tasting the best that the vineyards have to offer.
